No. 28 of 30 numbers, originally priced a 1.00 each. Paper covers are detached but present. The "Prospectus" on rear cover details how a subscription to the numbers works. Each of the five hand-colored quadruped plates in this number has a tissue guard and a written description, except for the Common Deer -- only the last page of its description is present. All the plates are in near fine to fine condition colors are still vibrant and bright, protected from light and handling these many years by the tissue guards and the covers. The Common deer has a tiny hole about 1 millimeter from the edge of the paper -- no where near the actual hand-colored illustration. All the other plates have no blemishes whatsoever to speak of. Photos available upon request. SELLING USED AND RARE BOOKS ON ABE SINCE 1997 AND OUT OF OUR BOOKSTORE SINCE 1988. Bookseller Inventory #
