A cryptic journal. Five hidden packages. A community united by a final farewell.
Liz Baker was looking forward to a quiet day off in Cedar Creek. With her fiber arts shop thriving and a budding romance with Mark, the local detective, life finally feels like it’s following a pattern she enjoys. But the pattern is about to get much more intricate.
When a mysterious journal arrives—filled with odd doodles and heartfelt scribbles—Liz is intrigued. When she learns that her dear friend and regular customer, Agnes Finch, has passed away, curiosity turns to a solemn mission.
The mayor delivers a startling message: Agnes left specific instructions for her wake, and the only clue is a single phrase: “Liz Baker will know.”
As mysterious packages wrapped in brown paper and twine begin appearing in her mailbox, Liz realizes she’s been cast as the lead in one final, grand puzzle. From local gossip disguised in riddles to collective tributes that bring the town together, Liz must juggle the frantic demands of the mayor, the support of her colorful friends Barty and Maya, and her own grieving heart.
But Agnes’s final riddle holds a secret even Liz couldn't have predicted—one that will change her future in Cedar Creek forever.
Step into the cozy Vermont town of Cedar Creek for a story of friendship, fiber arts, and the threads that connect us all. Perfect for fans of small-town mysteries and heartfelt community stories.
