Paperback. Sheldon is raised within Haarmonia, a powerful religion devoted to the deity Elyssar, where devotion is law and dissent is quietly erased. When he miraculously survives a mass shooting at a place of worship, the state intervenes, removing him from his former life and relocating him to a secluded religious sanctuary. The sanctuary is presented as a utopia for the Luminathos-followers chosen for protection, purity, and spiritual enlightenment. Safe, orderly, and isolated from the outside world, it promises healing and purpose to those within its walls. But as Sheldon settles into this controlled paradise, he begins to uncover the cost of belonging. Faith is enforced, identity is monitored, and survival depends on obedience. As the sanctuary's true nature reveals itself, Sheldon must confront whether salvation can exist without freedom-and what it means to believe when belief is no longer voluntary.
