The Pursuit of Net Zero Logistics – Turning Sustainability into a Competitive Edge
Logistics is no longer just the silent backbone of global trade – it’s at the heart of the climate crisis and the race to net zero. Rising CO₂ prices, tough regulations like ETS and CBAM, and customers demanding greener supply chains are rewriting the rules of business. Those who fail to adapt risk losing their market position.
This book is your essential guide to thriving in the era of sustainable logistics.
With over 40 years of hands-on experience, Roger Heidmann reveals how companies can transform logistics from a cost driver into a profit engine – by cutting emissions, reducing waste, and leveraging sustainability as a true differentiator.
Inside you’ll discover:
-
How logistics becomes the hidden climate lever – and how to use it for growth.
-
The CO₂ profit trap – why ignoring emissions means future losses.
-
Powerful tools like Store Checks and Logistics Profiling to identify quick wins.
-
Real-world examples of companies saving millions while reducing their footprint.
-
How digital platforms, AI, and data transparency turn emission reduction into a competitive advantage.
This book isn’t just about compliance – it’s about winning the future. It shows decision-makers how to prepare for the 2027 CO₂ certificate era and turn sustainability into a measurable business strategy.
Who should read this book?
Executives, logistics managers, consultants, and innovators ready to future-proof their supply chains, cut costs, and gain an edge in an increasingly carbon-conscious market.
The Pursuit of Net Zero Logistics is more than a book – it’s a call to action. Will you wait until carbon costs eat into your profits, or will you lead the way to smarter, cleaner, and more resilient logistics?
