32 p.; 18 cm. White wrapper printed in black; stapled. Wrapper title. Advertisement for The Catholic World on the back wrapper. The author, Augustine Francis Hewit (1820-1897), became a Catholic in 1846 and in 1858 founded the Paulist Fathers with Isaac Thomas Hecker. The Catholic World was started in 1865; the Paulist Press established in 1913. No date of publication; the Paulist Press was located 401 W. 59th St., the address on the wrapper, from about 1920 onward. Scarce. In Very Good Condition: wrapper is lightly soiled; small stain at fore-edge of front wrapper; pages are clean and solid. Seller Inventory # 008946
