Employing a flexible managerial perspective, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, 5th Edition walks you through the core concepts, strategy, and implementation to provide the complete introduction for modern courses.
Praise for the previous edition: "This is an exceptionally clear and well structured text which manages to integrate a comprehensive knowledge base into accessible themes. I've been using this text since its first edition, and it just keeps on getting better. It should be placed at the top of any reading list for purchasing and supply students." Peter Rudolph, Head of Education, International Purchasing & Supply Education and Research Association, Leeds Business School, Leeds Metropolitan University
"A true in-depth view of Purchasing and Supply Management and its development as a business function, able to create sustainable value." Ton Trommelen, Executive Vice President & CPO, Royal DSM N.V.
"If you want to buy well in future - make a start by buying and using this book!" Steve Shaljean-Tilley, Senior Lecturer in Procurement, Government's Centre for Management and Policy Studies (CMPS)
"All chapters use the same didactic instruments like learning objectives, cases, memos, assignments, etc. which are introduced to the reader through a ''guided tour''. That might be one of the reasons for the popularity of the book, as it is one of the best sellers in the area." Review from the Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management
