Every puff you take could be the one that takes everything away.
You thought vaping was the safe alternative. You were told it was just flavored air. You believed it wasn’t addictive, wasn’t harmful, and definitely wasn’t like smoking.
They lied.
Behind the fruity flavors and sleek designs is one of the most dangerous and fastest-growing public health threats of our time. Vaping isn’t just a habit. It’s a chemical trap engineered to hook your brain, drain your body, and hijack your life — one puff at a time.
In Every Puff You Take, Is a Mistake You Make, author John Elstein delivers a raw, unfiltered look at the vaping epidemic sweeping through schools, homes, workplaces, and communities — and shows you how to fight back.
This isn’t just another scare-tactic book. It’s a survival manual.
You’ll discover:
✅ What’s really inside a vape cloud — and why it’s far from harmless
✅ How vaping hijacks your brain chemistry and locks you into a cycle of cravings
✅ Why even “nicotine-free” vapes aren’t safe and how companies deceive users
✅ What quitting actually feels like — and how to survive the first 72 hours
✅ A complete step-by-step plan to quit and stay quit, for good
✅ How your body starts healing immediately — and continues long after your last puff
✅ Real strategies to avoid relapse and rebuild your life without needing a device to cope
Whether you’re a teen just starting, an adult struggling to quit, or a parent watching your child slip away into addiction, this book was written for you. It’s blunt. It’s honest. And it doesn’t hold back.
You’ll also get:
-
A breakdown of why most quit attempts fail — and how to avoid the trap
-
The truth about popcorn lung, nicotine poisoning, and vaping-related lung injuries (EVALI)
-
A practical system to rebuild your habits, identity, and confidence
-
Guidance on how to support a loved one through addiction without judgment or fear
Thousands of people are finally walking away from vaping — and you can too. But first, you need to understand what you’re really up against.
This book will open your eyes. It will make you uncomfortable. But it will also give you the tools, knowledge, and mindset to break free — and stay free.
Every puff is a mistake. But reading this book might be the best decision you ever make.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
