Haswell, Philadelphia, No Date - mid-19th century (possibly 1830s), (VG-), 281 pages plus 4 pages of adverts for other titles at back, index of first lines, 3-3/4 in. x 6-1/8 in., hardcover, full leather, black spine label with gilt title, gilt spine fillets (lines), corners and spine ends mildly bumped and rubbed, a little very minor rubbing to edges and spine joints, light soil to covers, pages age-toned (title-page more so than rest), very light damp mark to fore-edge of most pages and also along top of approx. the last 50 pages, former owner ink inscriptions (from 1959) on front and rear endpapers, a little mild foxing to endpapers and a few pages, very small abraded area to lower corner of front free endpaper, front free-endpaper affixed to front paste-down endpaper in one small spot at top (if not bound thus, then they have been this way for a long time, and we have left them as-is), free endpapers not attached to first and last leaves (bound thus), light glue marks to endpapers, otherwise contents clean and tight, item protected in new clear plastic sleeve, book: Very Good Minus {Though it does show its age a little bit, this small book is in quite remarkable condition, both inside and out!} (VG-) 5316 [Ho0621HL].
