About this Item
Octavo, pp. [2], 3-158, [2] including index. Softcover printed like a notepad with pages gathered at top edge. Covers with sunning and wear; writing on the back cover. Tanned pages with heavier tanning inside front cover. A few small stains noted. All recipes appear clean and usable. A good copy. Recipes appear to have been gathered from a recipe contest sponsored by the newspaper. The 'Omaha Bee' was a newspaper founded in 1871 by Jewish immigrant and Union soldier Edward Rosewater. In 1927, the newspaper merged with the 'Omaha Daily News' to become the 'Omaha Bee-News.' The 'Bee-News' was sold to William Randolph Hearst in 1928. Just shy of a decade later, Hearst sold the 'Omaha Bee-News' to its competitor, 'The Omaha World-Herald' which immediately stopped publication. Seller Inventory # 10921
