Item description from seller

A flyer issued by the Los Angeles Communist Party following the kidnapping and beating of labor leader and Hollywood union organizer Herbert K. Sorrell on March 2, 1947 outside of his home in Glendale, California. The assault was the result of an ongoing labor dispute at various film studios, and the Communist Party linked it with anti-labor legislation before Congress. The flyer states, "On one side is the slogan 'outlaw Labor's rights'. On the other side is storm-trooper violence against leaders and members of labor unions." Offset printed in black on one side of an 11" x 8 ½" newsprint sheet. Toning to newsprint, else a fine copy of a fragile flyer. Not found by title in WorldCat.
