How much more effective would we be in working against child sexual abuse if every adult had the knowledge currently available only to professionals? Now this unique, unparalleled and groundbreaking book gives adults the vital information and skills needed to protect children in their day-to-day lives. Gerrilyn Smith draws on her many years of professional experience in the field, a wide range of sources and proven techniques - as well as on the firsthand experiences of young survivors themselves - to offer a fully comprehensive, practical and accessible guide to recognising, reducing the risks of and overcoming the effects of abuse.
