Paperback. HIS CONNIVING COLLEAGUE - CATALYST FOR CHAOS - CRUSADER FOR CLARITY? Dr. Grant Ashton Meyers is an excellent doctor at the pinnacle of his career. He has a beautiful, talented wife, two smart college-age sons, and his life is about to come apart. In a convalescent hospital lie patients who need continued intensive care - struggling to heal and regain active lives. And the clock is ticking toward their discharge date. Into that setting comes Dr. Erica Lange, and sparks fly when she pushes for 'Do-Not-Resuscitate' orders. Monitored by hospital staff and colleagues, she targets Dr. Meyers as a sympathetic figure who may save her career when she believes she is wrongfully terminated. While Ash labors to ignore her allure and repel her advances, her grievance campaign escalates. Erica digs deeper and uncovers a corporate conspiracy aimed at keeping 'heads in the beds', a scheme Dr. Meyers cannot ignore. Nor can federal authorities. But with time running out, how far will Erica go to commandeer Ash and prove her case? And plagued by painful memories, will Ash push back when her drama barges into his personal life and threatens his professional standing? Find out when you pull back the curtain, meet compelling characters, and savor surprising plot twists in this timely story couched in a unique medical setting. This item is printed on demand.
