Professional Property Strategies is written with beginner investors in mind. This includes would-be investors who don’t yet have a single property in their portfolio, through to novice investors who have a few properties under their belt and are looking to ‘level up’ their portfolio and turn it into a full-time business.
You’ll no doubt know some basics of property investing, perhaps because you’ve been researching the field before taking the plunge on your first property, or because you’ve been learning by doing (for example, by renting out a property or running a holiday let in your back garden).
I imagine your goal is to earn a regular income from property, perhaps even your entire income from property. That was my goal when I was starting out. Property gave me a way to quit the rat race, work for myself and earn a passive income. So when writing this book, I’ve prioritised those strategies that I believe offer maximum return on your investment, to get you closer to that goal of earning a steady income from property.
As the author of this book, (and a multi-millionaire property investor, developer, For Dummies author, and SKY TV personality), I have used all of these strategies in my extensive property career – having now developed hundreds of millions of pounds worth of UK property.
This isn’t a book about how to run a straightforward buy-to-let property. There are plenty of books out there to help you become a successful landlord, and many of them are great. I believe there are better ways to maximise your returns – particularly if your ultimate goal is to quit your job and earn an income from property.
That’s why I cover various different strategies in one book.
This book covers:
- An introduction to property development
- Converting commercial properties for residential use
- Why HMOs are a huge opportunity
- Renting to students and social housing tenants
- Short on capital? Rent-to-Rent might be for you
- Lease options: Another low-capital strategy for investors
- Serviced accommodation as a growth area
- Investing in holiday lets
- Taking your property portfolio to the next level: The secret ingredient
