About the Author
Arvind Kumar is working as Associate Professor in college of Horticulture at Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut. He has specialization in Fruit Science and experience of more than 16 years of Teaching, Research and Extension work of horticulture. He has to his credit more than 59 research papers, 2 books as main author, 70 abstracts and 38 book chapters / other publications. He has guided more than 40 students of Ph.D. and M.Sc. as Advisor and Co-advisor. He was awarded Aryabhata Scientist award-2020, SRDA Gold Medal award-2020, Scientist of the year Award 2019, Young Scientist award 2017, Young Scientist Associate Award 2016, Fellow scientist award 2009, National Award of Excellence and so many others in contribution of horticulture field for the development of social, welfare and agriculture sector. He has chaired a number of scientific sessions of different symposium/Conferences and acted member of organizing committee of many seminar and symposium. He is life time member of several scientific societies. He also visited to abroad to attend the international conference for gathering and sharing the scientific knowledge. He is handling the research project funded by NHB as PI and many others as Co-PI.
Km. Priyanshu has a brilliant academic career and did her B. Sc (Ag) from M. J. P. R. U. Bareilly in 2018 with 73.08% marks and M. Sc (Ag) Horticulture from M. J. P. R. U. Bareilly in 2020 with 88.75% marks. Topic of her master research was 'To study about the effect of organic manure and inorganic fertilizer on growth yield, and yield attributes in onion (Allium cepa L.) under Dhampur (Bijnor) condition. She has published 3 research papers, 2 review papers, 3 book chapters and attended 1 national and 3 international conferences. She has been awarded with National Award of Excellence (The Best Student of the Year award-2020) by Glacier Journal of Scientific Research (AHMEDABAD). She is a life member of various scientific societies. Presently she is actively engaged in Teaching of UG and PG Students in R.S.M. PG College Dhampur (Bijnor).
Bhoopal Singh Tomar did his graduation in Agriculture and post graduation in Agriculture Botany from Meerut University, Meerut and Ph.D. in Horticulture (Vegetable Crops) from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Dr. B. S. Tomar joined as Joint Director (Extn.) Additional Charge on 5thMarch, 2021 and Head, Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi on 5th April 2016. Dr. B S Tomar has served Incharge, Seed Production Unit during 2011-2013. Dr. Tomar has been actively involved in development of seed production technology of vegetable crops under open field condition as well as hybrid seed production under protected conditions and also associated in the genetic improvement of egg plant, onion, okra and cucumber (under protected condition) from last two and half decades. He is associated with the development of thirty vegetable varieties (Egg plant-6, onion-3, okra-1, cucumber-3, musk melon-2, garden pea-1, bitter gourd-2, velayti palak-1, cow pea-1, dolichous bean-1 etc.). He has been associated with the teaching in Seed Science & Technology and Division of Vegetable Science since last 24 years and guided 8 Ph.D. students and 6 M.Sc. students Dr. Tomar has published 101 peer-reviewed research papers, more than 100 popular articles, 11 training manuals, 2 practical manuals and more than 30 book chapters. He delivered more than 500 talks on All India Radio, Delhi Doordarshan and DD Kisan programme for the benefit of the farming community. Dr. B S Tomar received ICAR – Jawaharlal Nehru Award for outstanding contribution in Post Graduate Research for the year 1995. Beside this he is recipient of several awards like Best Teacher Award 2014 and Dr. G Kalloo Outstanding Hort. Scientist Award 2018. Dr. B S Tomar served as an expert member in UPSC, ASRB, NFL, NSC, CCSHAU-Hisar, PAU- Ludhiana, CSHPKV-Palampur, NDUAT-Faizabad, ICFR&E-Dehradun. He is fellow of Indian Society of Seed Technology, Indian Society of Seed Spices, Indian Society of Vegetable Science and National Academy of Horticulture Sciences.
Bijendra Singh, Dean, College of Horticulture, SVP University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut (UP) has more than 27 years experience in teaching, research and extension of various horticultural crops. He has authored 190 research papers, 6 books, 30 book chapters, 6 technical bulletins, and more than 200 papers presented and delivered lectures in different national and international seminars and symposia. Dr. Bijendra Singh is the recipient of 26 awards by different professional societies. Dr Singh has visited abroad several times to expose his scientific work and shared the knowledge with the scientist of international fame. He is life member of various scientific societies He has released 15 varieties of different horticultural crops. He holds the different positions of administrative responsibilities like: Jt. Director Research, Head, Department of Horticulture, Head Vegetable science, Nodal officer, Horticultural Research Centre etc. in the university. He also organized the various national and international seminars/ conferences in India and abroad. He is the chief editor of the Journals namely, Progressive Agriculture and Annals of Horticulture, beside these he is the member of editorial boards of different societies. Dr. Singh is the president of Prerna foundation Uttar Pradesh, India, Society for recent development in agriculture and secretary of Hi-Tech Horticulture Society, India.
Jagraj Singh was born on September 4, 1993 in Bilaspur (U.P.). He was received graduate degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut in the discipline of Agricultural Science in 2015 with outstanding academic record with a Gold Medal. He has completed M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture degree from Department of Horticulture, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agricultural & Technology, Meerut. He was the first rank holder in the department of horticulture, SVP University of Agriculture & Technology Meerut in 2018. Mr. Singh has contributed in seven research papers in NAAS rated scientific international journals. He has published two book chapters and five articles in popular magazines based on various horticultural technologies. He was also served as a lecturer in Quantum University, Roorkee (U.K.) from 2018 to 2020. At present, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Horticulture (Vegetable Science) at Department of Vegetable Science, College of Horticulture, SVP University of Agriculture & Technology Meerut. He has qualified ICAR- ASRB NET Examination in the discipline of Vegetable Science.

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Kennys Bookstore, Olney, Maryland, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
