At 8 o'clock, the praise service was conducted by Sisters Lula Price, Mary Scales, Delphia Green. The praise service was very inspiring. The president took the chair and, according to the pro gram, the welcome addresses were listened to by the sisters. Owing to the absenec of the pastor, Rev. S. G. Gilmer, Rev. Y. S. Turner was asked to welcome the body in behalf of the church. Mr. Clinton Simpson in a very intelligent way welcomed the body in behalf of the Sunday school. The welcome addresses werewell made, and were very broad m their manner. The response was made by Mrs. W. G. Washington. 'the missionary sermon was next on the program. 'the missionary, Rev. H. C. Hairston, was present and being assisted by Rev. Turner, proceeded to open the service by singing Soldiers of Christ Arise. The 121st Psalm was read for the lesson. Prayer was offered by Rev. Turner. Will There Be Any Stars? Was sung. Rev. Hair.ston came for ward, sang We Are Climbing Jacob's Ladder. He used for a text John Subject, We Must Work 'till Jesus Comes. The sermon was well prepared and also well preached: The Reverend certainly was led by the Spirit during this discourse. Everybody enjoyed the sermon. The collection was lifted by Mrs. C. J. Foster and Mr. Clinton Simpson. Amount.
