His research interests has been in controls systems, energy systems, wireless communications, networking, and reinforcement learning. He is the author/coauthor of over 100 journal papers, primarily published in the leading control systems and applied mathematics journals and nine books published by Academic Press, Prentice Hall, Marcel Dekker, and Springer. His Prentice Hall book Linear Dynamic Systems and Signals was translated into the Chinese Simplified Language by Jiaotong University Press in 2004. His 1995 Academic Press book Lyapunov Matrix Equation in Systems Stability and Control was republished in 2008 by Dover Publications. Professor Gajic supervised 19 doctoral dissertations and 26 master theses. Fourteen of his former doctoral students hold faculty positions at respected world universities. He received Dipl. Ing. and Mgr. Sci. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, M.S. in Applied Mathematics, and Ph.D. in Systems Science Engineering under direction of Professor Hassan Khalil from Michigan State University in 1984. His research and teaching were supported by the US National Science Foundation, AT&T Bell Labs, and MathWorks.
Dr. Hari Vasudevan holds his M.E. as well as PGDIE from VJTI (University of Mumbai) and Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. He also has an ERP-BaaN certification from SPJIMR, Mumbai. His areas of interest include Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems and Strategy, Market Orientation of Manufacturing Firms and World Class Manufacturing. He is an approved Ph.D. guide at Mumbai University as well as NMIMS University and has guided 10 Ph.D. students for their degree, so far. He is the president of the Indian Society of Manufacturing Engineers, a life-member of ISTE, New Delhi, a fellow of the Institution of Engineers India, and fellow of ISME. He is a member of the Research Recognition Committee in Mechanical Engineering of Mumbai University. He has over 32 years of experience in teaching and 2 years in industry.
Prof. Amit A. Deshmukh obtained B.E. (Electronics) from V.I.T., Pune University in 1997. He obtained M.Tech. Degree in 2000 and Ph. D. in 2004 from Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Currently, he is working as a professor and the head of the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Vile—Parle (W), Mumbai, India. He has published more than 350 research papers in various International and National Journals and Conferences.
Dr. Valentina Emilia Balas received the Ph.D. degree in applied electronics and telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara. She is currently a full professor with the Department of Automatics and Applied Software, Faculty of Engineering, Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania. She is also the director of the Intelligent Systems Research Centre, University of Arad. An author of more than 250 research articles in refereed journals and international conferences, her research interests are in intelligent systems, fuzzy control, soft computing, smart sensors, fusion, modeling, and simulation. Her industrial laurels project her excellent tenure at the Scientific Research Institute for Railway Cars of Arad and a career with their Air Navigation Protection Service.
Dr. Marius M. Balas, IEEE Senior Member, is a habilitated professor at The Engineering Faculty of Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania. His research topics are in electronic circuits, systems engineering, intelligent and fuzzy systems, adaptive control, modeling and simulation. His main scientific contributions are the fuzzy-interpolative systems, the passive greenhouses, the intelligent rooftop greenhouses, the constant time to collision traffic optimization, the imposed distance braking, PWM inverter for railway coaches in tropical environments, the rejection of the switching controllers’ instability by phase trajectory analysis and the Fermat neuron.
