This book presents a selection of papers from the 5th International Conference on Frontiers of Electronics, Information and Computation Technologies (ICFEICT), held in Ningbo, China, from June 27 to 29, 2025. It highlights recent advances in applied and interdisciplinary engineering, with a focus on electronics, information, and computation technologies and their practical applications. Topics covered include signal processing, computer vision, quantum computing, 5G/6G communications, and digital communication, among others. Aimed at graduate students, researchers, and academic scholars, the book also offers valuable insights for engineers and professionals engaged in real-world engineering tasks.
Dr. Weijian Liu received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China, in 2014.
He is currently an Associate Professor at the Wuhan Electronic Information Institute, Wuhan, China. His research interests include multichannel adaptive signal detection, statistical signal processing, and array signal processing. He has been the first author or corresponding author of more than 120 SCI papers. He has authored two monographs: Adaptive Detection of Multichannel Signals Exploiting Persymmetry (CRC Press, 2023) and Adaptive Detection for Multichannel Signals in Non-Ideal Environments (CRC Press, 2024). He has been listed in the “World’s Top 2% Scientists List” for six consecutive years. Dr. Liu serves on the editorial board of several international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, Signal Processing, and Digital Signal Processing.
Dr. Wenli Zhang received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Tokyo, Japan. She worked as a senior engineer at the Tokyo Research Center of Panasonic Ltd. She is currently a Professor in the Faculty of Information Technology at Beijing University of Technology.
Her research interests include computer vision and pattern recognition, as well as the application of artificial intelligence technologies in interdisciplinary fields such as smart agriculture, UAV patrol inspection, intelligent building systems, and bionic rehabilitation. She also works on TRIZ and other innovation methodologies in information technology and industrial design. Her major academic achievements include proposing several new models and methods, such as an asymmetric convolutional neural network model based on multisource data fusion, a visual clipping method for deep convolutional neural networks, a fast lightweight network model for edge devices, and a cross-domain automatic data annotation technique based on a generative auxiliary network.
In the past five years, she has led or participated in 10 externally funded projects and has published more than 20 papers in SCI/EI-indexed international journals and conferences, as well as national core journals. She served as the editor-in-chief of the academic monograph Target Detection and Tracking Based on Multisource Data Fusion and Deep Learning. She is the inventor of eight national invention patents, five utility model patents, and three authorized patents.
She is currently serving as a director of the Beijing Interdisciplinary Society. She has been a TPC member for several international conferences and serves as a reviewer for multiple SCI/EI journals and Chinese core journals.
Dr. Kewei Chen received his Ph.D. degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2000 and was recognized and funded by IPA Software in 2001. In 2002, he won the Prize for Excellent Paper in Fuzzy Science in Japan. Over the past 25 years, he has participated in 19 large-scale scientific research projects—serving as the core technology leader in seven of them—and has published 26 high-impact papers in top international journals and conferences.
In 2018, as a high-level leading talent recruited by the Organization Department of Yuyao City, Ningbo, Dr. Chen joined two enterprises: the Ningbo Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Research Institute (Robot Innovation Center) and Danian Technology Group. Subsequently, he successfully applied for the National Distinguished Expert program.
In January 2020, he joined Ningbo University as a Distinguished Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, specializing in intelligent manufacturing and robotics research and education. In March 2021, he was appointed Director of the Institute of Advanced Intelligent Robots.
