Based on a true story.

On August 25, 1990, in Juiz de Fora, Brazil, a young medical student was about to live through the longest twenty-four hours of his life.

What began as an ordinary day soon turned into a nightmare when a group of armed fugitives arrived at a country property on Margaridas Street, taking hostages and forcing everyone inside to confront fear, uncertainty, and the brutal logic of survival.

For decades, the full truth behind what happened inside that house remained untold.

Now, Miguel Jacob recounts, in his own words, the tense and deeply personal story of those twenty-four hours — the confusion, the silence, the psychological pressure, the fragile negotiations, and the moments when life seemed to hang by a thread.

The Kidnapping on Margaridas Street: 24 Hours is not only a true-crime account. It is a testimony about fear, memory, faith, family, and the human instinct to survive when there seems to be no way out.

The truth has never been told.

Until now.
