About this Item
Printed poster (14" by 11", verso blank) promoting the Yale Class of 1916 Senior Smoker, a raucous party held at Byers Hall, then part of the Sheffield Scientific School and now incorporated into Silliman College. According to the message at the foot of the poster, "This affair will be greatly enlivened by the presence of a few vaudeville stars". Sadly we could find no account of the party or its aftermath, but imagine it was quite something. Very good. Minimal toning; water staining to verso; one short tear to lower left-hand corner.
