Paperback. A lonely girl, new in town, is finally chosen by a group of friends who seem too good to be true. An anxious woman, six months down a therapy waitlist, finds an app that never puts her on hold. Neither of them asks what it costs to be wanted. Nobody ever does - not the man who decides he wants the ghost out of his wife's life, not the friends who pry open the one locked door, not the woman who can't find herself in a single childhood photo. They all said yes to something. They were all sure they understood the terms. Seven stories about the moment you say yes without reading - the new friend, the quick fix, the good deal, the small wish - and the cost you never saw, because it was waiting in the dark corner of a contract you didn't know you'd signed. Some things you sign up for. Some things sign up for you. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
