Princess
Her soul shines amidst the dark tone
Of her raven locks and deep eyes
To cast a pure and complete warmth,
Which might draw a man from desperate cries
To a world of new heights and hopes,
An air this boy has never known
Since he fell and has had to cope
With the twisted time he has spent alone.
Aye – a true vision to value
While most senses here are so subdued,
Her face had me heed all those thoughts
I had formerly feared and fought
So honest
Was I too bold to know to stop,
Or did I try to feel too much,
So sensitive
For I was told she reigned atop
As a Princess always to adore.
She's called the Princess in her palace –
Duly so for her fine form soars
Through the minds of men whom be lured
To see the wonder of what she is.
The smile by which I was so graced
Helped me from my quite forlorn place
And altered the sense that chose the way
I led to bring me to this stage,
Which does little to soothe the rage,
That stems from my well guarded stay,
Despite the madness I've been told,
Donna gave me a sense so lovely to hold.

For Joy
I see the sea serve its role
What tide it takes
The waves will exchange so whole
What will it wakes,
But her sight and sound befall
What urges one speaks
Of man that cares just to call
What his heart seeks
Joy
I hear the waves crash the shore
To wash the sand
Of past and poor thoughts or lore
To let me stand
How she had approached and passed
To have me host
Great realms of regret amassed
To rue me most
Extending to touch the thought
Would levy cost,
Admitting the failure fought
Would embrace loss,
Denying defeat lie lands
Would erode will,
But holding her peace in hand
Would rest one still
With Joy
Pursuits pain my poor path for peace
If spirits care
For faith fixes my fears beneath
If humble stare,
But blessed be brought her brow
If visions try
The sense of sights so allowed
If honest vie
For Joy
I wear the shame well despite
The vacant place
The chill my soul does invite
The empty face
I try so to fill and fall
For Joy
The sacred say
For Joy
And build high above what walls
For Joy
The cursed do pray
For Joy

Awaiting her Entrance
The floor follows feet from the door
Each entrance obliges all the guests
Who arrive at time allowed pours
Awaiting a face for wants best.
What the vision values be said
By watchers wed to gamblers' eyes
That heed how fantasies are fed
Are brought the dreams that they surmise.
What occurs are all then attuned when
She places herself between the pages
Turned to spaces sought by some often
A feeling few men ever engage.
But each open of the door plays
A note not heard by the piece played
To quell hopes had by some displays
That bore fine fruit for her display.
The air stills to seek her form
For any sign of a stride towards
A door open to perform
The rules that their hope awards.

Spellbound
Sell that spell you sing so well
About the belle
Who woke a want once distant
Every instant,
Would you wonder when left lone
What was not known
If she should bless being here
As true a tear?
Such is said whose temper befits
Those of weaned wits
Which seek relief from pursued
But broken views,
Be they barked in anguished need
Or painful bleeds
That could be cleansed by the thought
Which some were taught.
Do dispel all teasing as should
One think one would
Find favor in her blessed eyes,
Could hope supply,
Or exist lamely to list
While pains persist
In winds that wish for the time
Desire defines.
I admit I ducked the chance
To share a dance,
While her wonder would still serve,
If I deserved,
To reward my mind with what
Left me free but
Always aiming to stem the ache
I never faked.

An Invitation
If it be, might Miss Marks
Care to share a seat
Upon the scene that I hark
To when we did meet,
But for fear had I then shrank
From dumb to numb where
The blessing rare bore great thanks
Not afraid to dare.
The face fashioned to project
Your subtle look pure
Could quench my spell of rejects
That keep away cures
To this role symbolized by
The uncertain stares
And pats the back learns with sighs
To accept with wear.
If approaches as this defy
The proof you portray,
Could simple a soul as I
Confess all I pray
Denied by no one
But choice of the Christened place
That your beauty won.
RVM (10/23/08)
Requesting a Blessing
Such a beautiful spirit, you
Bless this body so very true
That he wakes when hearing your
Gorgeous voice vow to restore
An ideal that thoughts follow
To leave me less to wallow.
But without the balanced will
To break the molds unfulfilled,
I have hidden behind keys
That speak cares which the words free,
But might I venture to ask
If in your company I might bask?
May the week close this Friday,
Dining where your sight stuck my way
And aroused fancies and fears,
Around which I tried to steer,
But I never wanted escape
From the feeling you did drape.
I think half past six reserves
A table to richly deserve
The pure bounty your presence
Should offer chasing the essence
Few enjoy unless they see
How heated passions for you be.
RVM (2/03/09)
The Lure
Turn a page for absent adieu
Left neither near nor within view
For befallen beaus to contend
With what penance some pretend.
Dose detached ones with sullied dreams
Of touching to what humans mean
By remaining part of a race
To release such a soul defaced.
Let admired attempts to share or shake
The defeat done to bridges that break
Make more tried the truth one must ask
Of oneself if he ever shed his mask.
Come debate each dirge you now hear
Ring through minds much more dark than clear
To test sense not right but secure
That he will always find a lure.
And chase choices that are never made
Through the thought that tests waters weighed
By those taken with what forgot
To tell him just what is his lot.
But some open while most do shut,
And those blessings bestow a "but"
So damn rare it reaches the far heights
That appeal to those fallen from sight.

Ms Marks – the Muse
Lighten the loss of all wit
About a sane soul,
But bedevil one with fits
For him and his role
As one most worthy of wants
Too human or plain
To have inspired his known haunts
Where desires remain.
Trying and teasing an air
Which wagered where feet
Found a full reason to care
If his shadow meets
Shallow depths of defeat due
To pains his mind paid
And surrendered all he knew
To thoughts she conveyed.
Never needing his hurt heart,
She blessed his blood warmed
By her charmed steps that could start
The thaw from which formed
Streams so striking they relieved
Trauma taught to those
Who bought and bore what received
The aura she posed.
Should his shame ever appear
Upon clothes he wore,
Her frown and distaste he feared
Could never restore
The quips and courting in verse
He cast or confused
To allure her awe to nurse
Knowledge as his muse.
The deficits do descend
From ghosts spying why
He choked the chance to amend
Absent times he tried,
But the err lay not with wish
Or the wanton prayer
He could ever extinguish,
He craved thoughts to care.

Weathering Stormy
I have learned to brace myself
From my past falls
Through the times to weather weak health
Scrapes and scars call
Broken beings to conform
To a new song
I tried when I saw the Storm
Now come along.
Surely struck my mind may say,
If admitting,
That the cords of mystique played
Cords committing
What allure would want approached
This man's crude core
To advance all winds to coach
Storms to restore.
Lessons left to teach some son
Never arrive
When want aches away the one
Of time alive,
But the patience pays the bet
Made with which fool
May neglect his honest debt
To the Storm's rule.
For her face washes away care
From tear stained places
I have worn when I might dare
Dream Stormy places
She might make me go to find
A thought I need
To get growth near her kind,
Could I succeed?

Reflections
The Mirror
One soul's savior lay within others' terror,
Struck so low it loses sense to be right or wrong,
And evil exists where ears hear the tenor
In the flight for safe places to belong.
The rages reveal truths where aim and deed compete
With cures crimes arrest and allow what revives
The pain perceived both far above and beneath
Wrought revenge to target places where pain survives.
What reflections reach the heart that heaven sent,
Wear each worth of what ease found away from ago,
When method met the practice that pain presents,
The reason that remains an excuse bestowed.
An observed ill that conveys the actual pain
Is parsed among innocence meant to portray just
And balanced belief in a peace to maintain
If sides matured to seek truth as they must.
Where thought travels the trials of wicked ways
Inflicted upon souls savaged and subdued
By terms taught by being the subject displays,
The vices vex as the anger asks to renew.
RVM (11/01/08)
Escape
The lamps hover here
To pardon peers
To fashion fears
Of allowing all
The scars to call
The marred to fall
For the fancy few
That the noted knew
That the quoted cue
To respect the reach
That the truths teach
That scorned impeach
The bar's balance meets
The simple seats
The obscure feats
Of the crowd that drifts
To spill their rifts
To get their gifts
From the friendly face
Offering grace
Presenting place
Fit for all to bask
In what they ask
To shed their masks
Mouths bark calls for more
Of what restores
Faith to its core
In aims any part
Of the song's start
That leads the smart
To make tighter talk
The method hawked
The way lust stalks
Must a measure made
The lure was laid
The deal was played
What the voice will sell
Gives games their spell
Gives life so well
To the scene seduced
By drink deduced
By shares induced
To warm waters clear
Of cares not near
Of fears not here
To calm minds reformed
To staunch the storm
To be the norm

Praying for Answers
Do some men rank above the law,
Beyond the bar honor had said
Was the limit lost to war's claw,
A dark design that doom had wed?
Do the folk find it fit to take
The spirit some wicked want whole
For the fancied who never fake
The righteous who knew their true role?
Have they had their choices before fate
Took sole the life left to break through
The bruised thoughts that carried the hate
To tell how harm had to win, too?
Why would some have others suffer
The pain they painted across most minds
As not due humans who render
What prey such nations aim to blind?
Where should man have his shelter built,
And what are the targets that suit
The same sites that bear gunners' guilt
When the quarry fares costly fruit?
What excuse lets some men deprive
All others of respect deserved,
While the only right that survives
Is that which racial hate preserves?
Who could ask his shadow to arm
The self, so hungry for honor sound,
It mocks myths he followed and harmed
To leave behind just bloodied ground?
RVM (1-12-09)
Worlds of Truth
To seek truth to how we believe
Becomes our debt for faith to do
The poor abject mass who conceive
The rites, rules and thoughts eschewed.
Worlds which stake such progress some see
Afoot fall to foundations built
By those thought to hear how it be
A void voicing man's soul and guilt.
From the void, the truth does echo
All about lands lost to their pains,
Each appropriate err or woe
Yields yet more regret to remain.
Worlds apart feed each other's need
To take myths and measures away
And allow the growth of the greed
To build bounties for it to pay.
When the worlds and the truths collide
To mete what methods may evolve,
Man's poor passions only abide
By meanings felt real for resolve.
Rage erupts while this happens there
To render mute logic's refute
Of the menace that made some scare
More masses from fears that hate recruits.
So the terms on which they combat
Return to takes on worlds which thought
They passed over others who sat
To judge what mere the most had fought.
RVM (2-20-09)
Wisdom's Crime
The thought becomes a beacon
Threats to their order
Of brave interest to reckon
Bets before borders
About all knowledge to damn
Nets known to forsake
The foul curse that shields their sham
Sets what sane would fake
Control consumes their hurry
Might to malign minds
To expel youth's earned worry
Sights suspecting finds
And spell such search as blasphemed
Frights found to oppose
By any learning demeaned
Rights rites that arose
His sentence condemns his home
Burn all brains with shame
To the wills and wiles of gnomes
Learn loss from lame
Who hem lands in little space
Churn the chance to numb
To confuse their counseled place
Stern styles barred become
What crime would crime suggest
Pour penance on pain
Would befit imbalanced nests
Tour treks of disdain
Where chaos reigns real about
Lure longing of lost
Worlds known being born without
Cures cued from the cost

The Moral Pass
Leave an empty face to tell
Of the puzzle that makes peace
With wanton aims against bells
That toll until sole times cease
To be bent by broken rules
Only ordered so more know
How heartless became those schools
That teach morals where to go.
Blame the blessing the gross gave
To the place the evil please
When they offer other graves
To bury hope and appease
The base root of beasts that beat
The droll drums that become war,
If allowed any repeat
Of chills chasing horror's core.
But proposed purposes for arms
Be defending life left free,
Not revenge nor real alarm
Towards those suspect as some see
If they let the light shine where
It would never want harm done
To our honor, if we dare
Keep effacing what we won.
RVM (4/28/09)
Peaces of the Page
Now have war as our way
And death as divine
To be but what mad may
Know we would not whine
When the wish He would pay
Becomes the sound sign
Of the effort to have play
Peaceful thoughts resigned.
May the battle be found
To free the faith's rage
And the prattle give ground
To see each engage
The won worry war pounds,
Plies and strikes each stage
That demands all around
Should heed the whole page.
Let the peace fall or fail
Where death disallows
Sin or savage to jail
The want of avowed
And adept demons railed
Into acts endowed
By belief to avail
Each evil they cowed.
Should its shield stay so still,
For its words would find
The strength to stay what will
Revered ran behind,
Or have hands held the till
To corrupt the kind
Of life left to grow filled
By the harried mind.
