CONDITION: Very Good; neat 1914 Christmas gift inscription, boards quite bright with a few tiny spots; corners sharp, tiny tear at spine bottom; loosening a bit with one badly glued opening, Princess Mary frontis creased, all other plates present, as issued, and in fine condition, edges and some page margins browning. Juvenile hardback. Produced for the Relief effort and containing 14 pasted in plates from turn of the century illustrators: Rackham, Millar, Detmold, Dulac etc. as well as drawings. A general, not a children's, anthology, still Charlie must have enjoyed that Detmold Ant-Lion! ABE Heritage Seller since 1996; conservative AB condition grading.
