The cream cloth remains unusually bright, with the turquoise and gilt decoration crisp and well preserved. Minor age-related handling and toning. Internally clean overall. The mounted colour plates are bright and well preserved. The binding remains sound, though there is occasional shallow cracking at the gutters where the book has been opened, consistent with normal use and age. These openings are superficial rather than structural, with no loose or detached leaves noted. Boards remain clean and well preserved overall, with a slight inward bow to the rear board not affecting the structural integrity of the binding. Please see the pictures. Original box Fair, substantially worn, rubbed, stained and abraded with splits, paper loss and old internal tape repairs, but substantially complete. Fragmentary original glassine retained.…
