Prince James of Valenor is deeply loved—by his heroic human father, his elven mother, and the kingdom they rule together. Raised between two cultures, James has never doubted his place in the world… until a single forbidden act binds him to an ancient, living curse. Dark markings begin to spread across his body, and with them comes the chilling truth: time is no longer on his side.
Determined to survive—and unwilling to let others suffer for his mistakes—James leaves the safety of the throne behind to seek a way to break the curse. His journey takes him into lands that swallow the unwary: poisoned swamps, haunted waters, and cities suspended in eternal night. At his side are Sarah, a sharp-witted fire mage whose loyalty burns as fiercely as her temper, and Lusin—the youngest son of the Serpent King—quiet, watchful, and far more dangerous than he first appears.
As the search for the elemental keys grows more perilous, James is forced toward an impossible choice. The magic powerful enough to defeat ancient guardians may also be the magic that seals his fate. Each step forward tightens the grip of something watching from beyond—a patient, ancient presence that believes James’s body already belongs to it.
The Prince and the Serpent, Volume I is an emotionally driven epic fantasy featuring slow-burn romance, morally weighty choices, and a world where love is not a weakness—but a force strong enough to challenge destiny itself. Perfect for readers who crave rich worldbuilding, intimate character bonds, and stories where hope must be fought for, this first volume marks the beginning of a journey that will demand everything from those who walk it.
