A DISTRESSED CRY FOR HELP
SUMMONS A DRAMATIC RETURN TO NARNIA,
NOW TORN IN TWO BY TREACHERY--
AND A WAR OF DELIVERANCE.
A false king has seized Narnia's throne, and corruption ensnares the land in his iron grip. Many Narnians have been forced into hiding, and the Great Lion, Aslan, has not been seen for a very long time. Only a brave few under the banner of the true king stand defiant, as they fight to restore the young prince to his rightful throne even as all hope seems lost. . . .
And there is more to the adventure. Prince Caspian is the fourth book in C. S. Lewis's classic fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia, which has captivated readers of all ages with a magical land and unforgettable characters for over seventy-five years.
This is a stand-alone novel, but if you would like to return to Narnia, read The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the fifth book in The Chronicles of Narnia, the greatest epic fantasy series of all time.
Read them all:
- The Magician's Nephew
- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
- The Horse and His Boy
- Prince Caspian
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
- The Silver Chair
- The Last Battle
Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. He was a Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University until 1954, when he was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. His most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics in The Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and have been transformed into three major motion pictures.
