Print on Demand. This book examines the arguments presented in Russian Orthodox liturgical texts, which appear to support the notion of papal supremacy. The author, a Catholic scholar, analyzes the titles and passages regarding Saint Peter in these texts, exploring themes of authority, jurisdiction, and the idea of a supreme leader within the Church. The book delves into the historical and theological context of the Russian Orthodox Church, examining its relationship with the papacy and the broader Christian tradition. By carefully examining the nuances of the liturgical language, the author sheds light on the complex and often contradictory positions held by the Russian Orthodox Church on the issue of papal primacy. Through this analysis, the book provides valuable insights into the nature of ecclesiastical authority and the historical development of Christian thought on the role of the papacy. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
