Excerpt from Primary Election and Election Expense Laws: Passed by Thirty-Second General Assembly

Sec. 2. Primary election defined. The term primary. Election as used in this act shall be construed to apply to an election by the members of vari ous political parties for the purpose of placing in nomination candidates for public office, for selecting delegates to conventions, and for the selection of party committeemen.
