Item description from seller

An interesting collection of moral short stories, by Thomas Longueville. In a lovely vellum binding. Written by 'The Prig' which is defined as a self-righteous moralistic person. 'The Prig' is a pseudonym for Thomas Longueville, an author of several works including Pryings among Private Papers, and The Life of Sir Kenelm Digby. This anthology is a collection of four previously published works by Longueville. In a half vellum binding with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with a few handling marks to vellum. Small patches of rubbing to the spine label and to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with instances of spotting to the first and last few pages. The odd spot throughout. Very Good.
