A fun, honest, and gospel-centered guide that encourages college students to navigate real-life pressures with courage, clarity, and faith in Jesus.
In Pressure Points, Shelby Abbott speaks directly to the challenges young men and women face during their college years—failure, uncertainty, temptation, anxiety, and cultural expectations. Drawing from two decades of college ministry, Abbott offers biblical wisdom, relatable stories, and a generous dose of humor to help readers see their struggles through a gospel lens rather than fear, shame, or self-reliance.
This flexible resource works well for personal reading, small groups, and campus ministry settings. With reflections on topics such as drinking, sex, dating, pornography, spiritual warfare, and the fear of missing out, Abbott helps students recognize Jesus in the middle of everyday life. Through Scripture-based encouragement, he guides readers to lean on Christ through hardship, wrestle with purpose and relationships, and discover grace and hope in a culture filled with pressure.
- Offers practical, biblical guidance for real-life struggles faced by college students today.
