How will humankind mark the turn of the millennium?
In late 1996 we began to ask ourselves how humankind would mark the turn of the millennium in a meaningful way. In early 1997 we formed the Millennium Committee of New York, LLC and began asking noted world figures to make a prediction of an event they believe will occur during the next millennium. The resulting collection of thoughts is a glimpse into the minds of some the world’s most distinguished individuals. Many of the messages are inspiring and speak of the wonders that await us, while others forewarn of impending disaster if we continue our ways. We have devoted nearly every spare moment over the last two years to this project. It has been our honor to oversee the effort.
