Ministry is supposed to be a team sport, but it’s hard to build a team if you’re a pulpit hog. Sharing the pulpit is one of the most powerful ways to instill a ministry-wide culture of equipping, empowering, and releasing others for the work of the ministry.
Preaching the Other Way is an absolute must have for any preacher, speaker, or primary communicator. It’s an inspirational reminder that no one person can be it all, and do it all.
This book comes from forty years of ministry wisdom. Insightful, and backed with impeccable integrity, JD Pearring presents an innovative approach to equip leaders and empower believers to use their gifts. This is an indispensable book for pastors of large, small, old, or new churches.
If you are a preacher of God’s word, give yourself, your family, and your church a monumental investment and read this book!

Review
As JD Pearring aptly points out, ministry is supposed to be a team sport. But it’s rather hard to build a team if you’re a pulpit hog. That’s because people do what their leaders do, not what they say. Sharing the pulpit is one of the most powerful ways to instill a ministry-wide culture of equipping, empowering, and releasing others for the work of the ministry. This book will show you how to do it. I highly recommend it.
Larry Osborne, Pastor and Author, North Coast Church
Preaching the Other Way is an absolute must have for any preacher, speaker, or primary communicator. It’s a humbling and inspirational reminder that no one person can be it all, and do it all. If you are a preacher of God’s word give yourself, your family, and your church a monumental investment and read this book!
Albert Tate, Founder and Pastor, Fellowship Monrovia
Wow, am I sorry! Sorry that JD Pearring didn’t write this book sooner, like forty years ago. My life would have been easier, our church more fruitful, and my kids happier. I caught on to preaching teams in my last decade as a pastor. Had I learned the lessons in this book earlier we probably would have planted more churches and the planters would have been better equipped. This one is worth passing around.
Ralph Moore, Founder, Hope Chapel Churches
Preachers, this is our chance to put Ephesians 4 into practice. Preaching the Other Way by my friend JD Pearring will equip you to expand your vision, practice, and fruitfulness through building a dynamic teaching team. This book is a road map and testimonial. And...the stories and illustrations in the book are worth stealing for your own sermons!
Dr. John Jackson, President/William Jessup University Author & Speaker
Masterfully written. Insightful, backed with impeccable integrity. JD is a master practitioner. This book comes from forty years of ministry wisdom. JD presents an innovative approach to equipping leaders and empower believers to use their gifts. This is an indispensable book for pastors of large, small, old, or new churches. I wish I would have had this book when I started ministry.
David Bennett, Financial Coach, Church Consultant
JD Pearring is no mere theoretician. After more than thirty years of experience as a pastor, church planter, coach, and a catalyst, he shares what he’s learned over the years and put into practice in the trenches. One of the many things that I love about this book is that it’s not just about developing your own preaching skills, but also how to develop others. This is where JD is especially strong, he’s always thinking about developing future leaders. This book should be a foundational tool for every church and church leader.
Dr. David Diaso, Mission to the World
My favorite chapter in this book is: “Who Is Giving You Feedback?” Leading a church planting movement in Mexico — and having planted thirty-seven churches — not a lot of people tell me what I am doing wrong, especially when it comes to preaching. I love the fact that it’s not criticism, it’s feedback. I want to do better, and feedback is what I know I need. Thank you for Preaching the Other Way, it will be great for all churches to adopt this model of team preaching.
Daniel Nuñez, Founder, Kingdom Builders Ministries. Founder, Ministerios Transformacion
