Print on Demand. This book is a critical examination of the moral and religious aspects of slavery, particularly the chattel slavery practiced in the southern United States in the mid-19th century. From a Christian perspective, the author argues that slavery is an inherently evil and oppressive system that violates God's will. The author maintains that prayer is a powerful tool against slavery, and that by earnestly and persistently appealing to God, believers can contribute to its abolition. The book delves into the history of slavery and the role of Christianity, exploring the motivations and beliefs of both enslavers and abolitionists. The significance of the book lies in its exploration of the spiritual and ethical dimensions of slavery, providing a religious perspective on a complex and controversial issue. It underscores the importance of faith, compassion, and collective action in the fight against oppression and the pursuit of human freedom and dignity. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
