Oversized, red cloth clamshell case w/ black & gilt printed title plate. 1 portfolio; 2 page printed portfolio; 10 portfolios w/ 10 original wood engravings. Engraving portfolios have light rubbing or creasing to corners and edges, though many remain sharp. Engravings have may light creasing or rubbing to edges and corners. Overall, this set remains sharp and bright; appears to be lightly handled. This is number 39 of 150 from the standard edition of Eichenberg's translation of Desiderius Erasmus satirical work. Each engraving is printed on Japanese mulberry paper and signed at the lower corner by the artist. VG+ (clamshell has light scuffs & smudges; interior has light scuffs & scratches. colophon packet portfolio has light scuffs. light creases or bumps to portfolios). Seller Inventory # 187426
