Print on Demand. This book teaches young theme-writers how to think and reason for themselves, to understand and avoid common errors in writing, and to develop their arguments. Exploring the nature of logic through philosophical principles, the author breaks down the art of argumentation into accessible components: definitions, species, genus, antecedents, and consequences, both internal and external. Exploring inductive and deductive reasoning, the author also discusses common argument fallacies and introduces the concept of moral universalities. This book is a valuable resource for students looking to improve their writing skills and develop a nuanced understanding of logic and critical thinking. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

Though the book is intended chiefly for youth at school, the author presumes to think it may not be useless to many who have finished their early studies. They will smile, no doubt, at the rawness.
