Item description from seller

New York Gotham Books 2009 Softcover, 203pp., 13,5x20cm., illustr. in b/w., in good condition (covers with light traces of use on the edges, otherwise very good). . ISBN 9781592404308. A hilarious look at the races of the world, capturing the proud history and bright future of racism in one handy, authoritative and deeply offensive volume. According to the fictional scholar C. H. Dalton, a supposed professor of racialist studies and expert on inferior people of all ethnicities, genders, religions and sexual preferences, everyone deserves to be hated. Through exaggerated stereotypes and deliberately absurd arguments, "A Practical Guide to Racism" presents a satirical examination of prejudice and discrimination. By pushing racist logic to its extreme and illogical conclusions, the book exposes the ridiculousness and internal contradictions of racist thinking while simultaneously provoking laughter and discomfort. C. H. Dalton is a pseudonym used for the satirical persona that narrates the book. The work was written by Sam Means, an Emmy-winning television writer known for his work on the American satirical news programme "The Daily Show".
