Paperback. When every heartbeat, blood pressure change, and monitor alarm demands an immediate decision, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.Maybe you've experienced moments like these: You're unsure which physiologic change matters most.TEE images look confusing instead of helpful.Managing cardiopulmonary bypass feels overwhelming. You understand the theory, but translating it into real clinical decisions feels difficult. The problem isn't your ability. Most resources are packed with technical language, assume too much background knowledge, or explain what happens without showing you how experienced clinicians think through each decision.Cardiothoracic anesthesia isn't about memorizing endless facts. It's about recognizing patterns, understanding physiology, and making the right decision one step at a time.Imagine walking into the operating room with a clear plan. You recognize changing hemodynamics before they become emergencies. You understand what the monitor, echocardiogram, ventilator, and surgical field are telling you. Instead of reacting with uncertainty, you respond with confidence because you know exactly what to assess, why it matters, and what to do next. This book was written to make that transition possible.Inside, you'll discover how to: Build a strong understanding of cardiothoracic physiology using simple, easy-to-follow explanations.Prepare patients systematically before cardiac and thoracic surgery with practical assessment strategies.Interpret invasive monitoring and hemodynamic data with confidence instead of guesswork.Understand transesophageal echocardiography through clear, clinically relevant examples.Manage anesthesia for CABG, valve surgery, thoracic procedures, aortic surgery, transplantation, ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and other complex operations.Navigate cardiopulmonary bypass from preparation through separation using logical, step-by-step clinical reasoning.Recognize and manage common intraoperative emergencies before they become life-threatening.Make better decisions regarding vasoactive medications, ventilation strategies, fluid therapy, transfusion, and postoperative critical care.Develop a structured approach to solving complex clinical problems instead of relying on memorization alone.Apply practical decision-making frameworks that can be used during real patient care.No overwhelming jargon. No unnecessary complexity. No confusing explanations that leave you guessing.Instead, you'll find clear language, real clinical scenarios, practical examples, decision pathways, and explanations that feel like learning from an experienced mentor beside you in the operating room.By the time you finish this book, you'll move from asking, "Where do I even begin?"to confidently approaching cardiothoracic anesthesia with a logical framework that helps you assess patients, interpret changing physiology, and make sound perioperative decisions.Whether you're an anesthesia resident, cardiothoracic anesthesia fellow, CRNA, practicing anesthesiologist, critical care clinician, or any healthcare professional seeking a stronger practical understanding of cardiothoracic anesthesia, this book is designed to help you build confidence that carries directly into clinical practice.Every day without a clear decision-making framework is another day of unnecessary uncertainty in one of medicine's most demanding specialties.Take the next step today and discover a practical approach that helps you understand, think, and practice cardiothoracic anesthesia with greater confidence, clarity, and purpo Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
