Paresh Kumar Nayak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad. Dr. Nayak holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, where his research focused on innovative algorithms for distance relays in power networks. He also completed an MSc in High Voltage Engineering from IISc Bangalore and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from VSSUT Burla. Before joining IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, Dr. Nayak served as an Assistant Professor at NIT Patna and KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, and worked in the industry as a Transformer Design Engineer. His academic contributions include guiding several Ph.D. scholars and M.Tech students, developing new lab setups, and preparing new syllabi.
