Paperback. The world has gone dark. Cities are silenced. Families are forced to take refuge on the streets without food and water. After the attack on the community of Resolve, Beckie Alderson and some of her friends are leaving California to find others in need of help, teach them sustainable technologies and livelihood, and face off with the powerful Wayne brothers behind the scenes of global corruption. One group sets out to travel to New York, and a second attempts to cross the Pacific Ocean to reach Sydney. The rest stay in California to build and expand, soon to learn that the Surgence is still hunting for them. All communications have ceased, and there is no telling what unthinkable destruction lies beyond the horizons. Beckie will encounter new allies and new adversaries, and she will learn that sometimes hope must be lost before it's found. The dystopian technothriller continues with another fast-paced and intense story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
