A definitive roadmap to a prosperous, digital, and well-governed Nigeria.
From Poverty to Prosperity: Nigerian Economic Development Blueprint examines Nigeria's most pressing development challenges and outlines a clear path to a digitally empowered, well-governed economy.
The narrative begins by diagnosing Nigeria's current socio-economic realities, highlighting systemic issues such as weak institutions, a lack of digital infrastructure, and a deficit in citizen trust. It then delves into the concept of human security as a cornerstone for economic progress, emphasising the rule of law, due process, and orderliness as prerequisites for sustained growth.
Through an in-depth analysis, the book explores how digital governance can revolutionise public service delivery and addresses the critical necessity of bridging the digital divide to empower Nigeria's diverse populace. Empirical evidence and statistics are woven throughout, providing a robust foundation for proposed reforms.
By enriching its analysis with comparative case studies of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway — countries that have successfully transformed their economies through strong institutions and digital innovation — the book illuminates practical, adaptable strategies for Nigeria. Balancing academic rigour with actionable policy guidance, this work is an essential reference and a powerful catalyst for Nigeria's journey toward lasting prosperity.
