Auf größere Pappe montiert, diese verso mit eigenhändigem Brief von Siegward Sprotte mit Unterschrift an 'Doktor Jaffé' (wohl Hans Ludwig Cohn Jaffé, Kunsthistoriker; 1915-1984), datiert '18.12.62'. Er berichtet von einem Besuch der 'Klee-Sammlung' in Düsseldorf, wo er zwei Dezember-Mittage sehr genossen habe. Beim Blick aus dem Fenster, habe er bemerkt, dass der Winter 'die wärmsten Töne' habe und ihm schiene, 'dass Klee zu winterlichen Tönen ein besonderes Verhältnis' habe, '(lustig, dass ein Onkel von mir 'Paul Klee' hiess)'. Desweiteren habe er 'in der letzten Zeit viel meditiert über das Verhältnis vom Sehen und Sprechen; wie das Sehen wirken und sich verwandeln kann ohne Werk zu werden'.- Vor gelblichem Himmel, dunkelblaue senkrechte Linien auf braunem Grund, davor weitere Farbpartien in verschiedenen Blautönen und Grüngrau.- Etwas stockfleckig am rechten Rand, wenige Stockfleckchen im Kopf- und Fußsteg.;$$;Sprotte, Siegward (Potsdam 1913 - 2004 Kampen/Sylt). 'Mounted on larger card, verso with handwritten letter from Siegward Sprotte with signature to 'Doktor Jaffé' (probably Hans Ludwig Cohn Jaffé, art historian; 1915-1984), dated '18.12.62'. He reports on a visit to the 'Klee Collection' in Düsseldorf, where he had very much enjoyed two December afternoons. Looking out of the window, he had noticed that winter had 'the warmest tones' and it seemed to him 'that Klee had a special relationship to wintry tones', '(funny that an uncle of mine was called 'Paul Klee')'. Furthermore, he had 'meditated a lot recently on the relationship between seeing and speaking; how seeing can work and transform itself without becoming a work'.- Against a yellowish sky, dark blue vertical lines on a brown background, in front of them further color areas in various shades of blue and green-grey.- Some foxing in the right margin, a few small foxing spots in the head and foot.'
