- Book 2 of 3: The Grant Chronicles
Constable Stephen Grant, marked for death with a bounty on his head, is assigned to help escort the gold. If he survives, his next task may prove even more difficult: to recover and deliver the months of stranded mail that has piled up on the Skagway pier and carry it back to Canada.
Pursued across the mountains, Grant and his team face ambush, betrayal and the rawr edge of nature. Tested to the limits of their duty, endurance and what a man’s word is worth, Grant will soon discover that the trail takes what it wants. It that may cost them lives, loyalty, and their innocence. From the shadows, Soapy Smith watches, but the frontier has its own sense of justice. One measured in grit, not law.
Based on true events, The Post Must Get Through, is a tense, atmospheric journey through the Klondike Gold Rush. A time, and place, where survival is uncertain and carrying the mail is more than a duty, it is a promise to a nation. This character driven thriller is the second book in The Grant Chronicles, following one lawman's journey through the evolving frontier as Canada takes its first steps towards the 20th Century.
