Add to basketColt Randall, previously an Army officer with Delta Force, now works for a private military company in Tampa, Florida. His company, Boswic Corporation, holds multiple contracts with Homeland Security. When United States intelligence agencies discover the plot by Russia and China to use powerful underwater missiles, named Poseidon Missiles, to demolish coastal cities in America, an emergency plan is developed to eliminate the threat.
The original Poseidon Missile developed by Russia is 65 feet long and 6.5 feet wide with a thermonuclear warhead of 5-megatons. China gets involved and helps develop a missile 80 feet long and 8 feet wide with a 100-megaton thermonuclear warhead. Since the larger of the two nuclear bombs dropped on Japan in World War II was 2 megatons, all of the Poseidon Missiles are capable of creating a radioactive tsunami to swamp any targeted coastal city in the United States.
To combat the new threat, Colt Randall is thrust into action. He's chosen to lead a taskforce composed of Boswic field agents, CIA field agents, and FBI field agents.
Activity for the project begins in an archipelago off the west coast of Finland and quickly moves to Jamaica, which ends up being selected as the best location from which to launch the Poseidon Missiles. After close inspection, the new Russian base on La Orchila Island in the Caribbean Sea proves to have too many coral reefs to be suitable for an underwater missile launch.
Construction activity involving the missile launch site is disguised as improvements for the Russian Embassy in Jamaica and the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica, both being located in Kingston.
Funding to support all the project activity is laundered through various international organizations, including segments of the World Bank.
As things progress, Colt discovers he is regarded as standing directly in the way of the leaders of the planned terror attack. He becomes the hunted as much as the hunter. Formerly a highly-trained special operative, Colt finds it necessary to polish all of his old skills just to survive as he tries to accomplish his mission.
