Synopsis:

While analysing policy, professionals must always be aware of the political, organisational, and personal interests that underpin the development and implementation of any social policy. The authors of this book examine both the rational and the political aspects of social policy using scientific inquiry to integrate research methods into policy analysis.

For more than thirty years, he has been an active member of the Society for the Study of Social Problems, where he served as vice president and chaired the Poverty, Class, and Inequality Division.
