In a world where goats might just hold the secrets to human folly, this rediscovered gem of humorous fiction invites readers into a tapestry of wit and wisdom. Once out of print for decades, this short story collection, now republished by Alpha Editions, explores the quirks of human nature with a deft touch reminiscent of Mark Twain's influence and O. Henry's style. Its satirical themes and moral dilemmas resonate with a contemporary audience, offering a mirror to the absurdities of life that remain timeless. Set against an early 20th-century American backdrop, these tales capture the essence of classic literature while engaging a general readership and literary enthusiasts alike. Restored for today's and future generations, this edition is not just a reprint-it's a collector's item and a cultural treasure. Each story unfolds with a keen eye for the intricacies of human behaviour, weaving a narrative that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. The American setting provides a rich canvas for exploring societal norms and individual eccentricities, making it a compelling read for those who appreciate the art of storytelling. As a cultural artefact, this collection offers insight into the past while illuminating the present, ensuring its place on the shelves of classic-collection buyers and casual readers. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
