Paperback. "Poetry should sound like scraping off a super sludge clog from a dirty drain. with some kind of unpoetic, postmodern glory." In this collection, the mundane and the magnificent collide. From the "coir-like" curls of a morning bath to the seventh whistle of a mutton curry, these poems reject the suffocating norms of "pretty" literature. This is a journey through thirty-three summers and eight winters of confusion, patriarchy, and the "bizarre tendencies" of words. It is a book for the witches, the Warhol-lovers, and anyone who has ever found more truth in a kitchen window than in a textbook. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
