Add to basketPoetry & Painting Bound by Love is a major volume in the poetry-and-painting series by Chinese American artist Chen Huiying (Victoria Chen), centered on the theme of love. Created during the artist's later creative years, the book reflects a deepened understanding of life, relationships, and human nature through the integration of painting, poetry, and prose.
The collection moves beyond visual beauty to explore emotional and philosophical dimensions. From reflections on time and destiny in Everything Has Its Time, to the symbolic hope expressed in The Peace Dove, and to meditations on friendship, compassion, and personal growth, each work offers a sincere interpretation of life and human connection.
In this volume, love is not limited to emotion-it becomes a sustaining force that nurtures understanding, kindness, and inner peace. Through simple yet heartfelt language, the artist transforms everyday experiences into artistic expressions that resonate gently with readers.
Living in the United States for many years, Chen Huiying has gradually developed a distinctive artistic practice centered on the fusion of poetry and painting. Rooted in Eastern aesthetics, her work blends emotional reflection, personal memory, and observations of life into an artistic language that is warm, meditative, and deeply human.
Presented in both Chinese and English, the book allows Eastern sensibilities of love and humanity to resonate across cultures. More than an art collection, Poetry & Painting Bound by Love is a quiet reflection on connection, compassion, and the enduring power of love in life.
