Rare original early American imprint of, "The Poetical Works of Peter Pindar." There is no printed publishing date, but this edition is dated to about 1790 by Evans (Proposals for printing were published in the Essex journal, Newburyport, Sept. 29 and Nov. 10, 1790). The book is overall in good antiquarian condition with some typical signs of wear and age. The covers have some mild wear. There is cracking to the leather joints; however, the binding of the book is still good and sound. The interior is toned from age with some occasional light foxing. Along with that there may be the occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection, such as a creased corner, small chip or tear, minor marking, light bit of soiling or grubbiness, etc. The book measures approximately 6 3/4 inches by 4 1/8 inches and is 314 pages long.
