Two volumes, dark olive buckram-covered boards with gold titles on spine; top edges gilt. A third volume, published in 1907, is not present. Boards are moderately rubbed, with light wear and fraying at extremities of spine; vol.II has a short tear at upper edge of front board. Ex libris Canadian suffragette and drug war pioneer Emily Murphy (aka Janey Canuck), with her signature, dated 1903, on front free endpapers of both volumes, as is that of her daughter Kathleen Ferguson Murphy. Bindings very tight and sound; contents clean and unmarked.
