Synopsis:
Published in association with The Basic Skills Agency, this book introduces Key Stage 4 students who are operating at National Curriculum levels 2 to 4 to a range of poetry inspired by wars from Victorian times to the late 20th century. About the Author:
Sue Hackman is a Key Stage 3 Literacy Pilot Director for the National Literacy Strategy. Prior to her involvement with the NLS, she was an English Adviser with many years experience of teaching in the classroom. She is an experienced and highly respected author of many successful books on English and Literacy, in particular the Fast Forward series and the Hodder English series.
Alan Howe is a Regional Director for the National Literacy Strategy in the South West. He was previously an English Adviser and has a wealth of experience in teaching.
