Print on Demand. This book of religious poetry explores the many faces of life and the hereafter, the eternal interplay of hope and fear, joy and sorrow. The author's early poems grapple with the existential quandaries of life's purpose and the nature of being, but eventually find solace in the unwavering certainty of God's presence. The author's search for meaning extends beyond the individual experience, touching on themes of national identity and the responsibilities of citizenship in the face of great political change. These poems are bound together by a thread of faith, which encourages the reader to look beyond the present, to a realm where beauty, truth, and love exist in their purest forms. The book's exploration into the nature of faith, mortality, and the human condition offers a transcendent perspective, seeking meaning in the liminal spaces between the temporal and the eternal. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

The Prize Poems have been reprinted without alteration, except the closing stanzas Of the first, which the kindly banterings Of divers private critics have led me to prune and slightly change. Also some Of the other Poems have been modified, and one or two re-written, previous to publication.
And now, with fervent prayers that this mean and unworthy contribution to the Christian litera ture Of our country may yet be used by the great Head of our Church for the furtherance Of His cause and truth, this book is committed to the kind perusal Of readers.

About the Author
Like many of his contemporaries, including Christopher Marlowe, Shakespeare began his career on the stage, eventually rising to become part-owner of Lord Chamberlain s Men, a popular dramatic company of his day, and of the storied Globe Theatre in London.
Extremely popular in his lifetime, Shakespeare s works continue to resonate more than three hundred years after his death. His plays are performed more often than any other playwright s, have been translated into every major language in the world, and are studied widely by scholars and students.
